I finally checked my UMD e-mail and I had 198 messages. Before I enrolled in this masters program, I had very limited experience with the computer. On rare occassions I would check my e-mail. I had no desire to learn what you could do with the computer.
For the last two semesters, I would go on Google to get to Moodle. I now have figured out why I never had any of the information the other students had. How lame is that? Hopefully I can have better access to information this semester. I have dial-up connectio.n and it seems, I use the connection before I can obtain information. I have not been able to add my blog address or follow any of the other blogs as of yet but I continue to work on it.

Boozhoo Mandaamin :) Very nice start to your blog. I like how you are talking about both your Ojibwe language and tech journeys - this is exactly what I would hope for :) Yes, time is of the essence. I knew both Mr Caribou (Adik) and know Mr Smallwood (Amik) and respect them greatly for their knowledge. I was said to hear about Mr Caribou's passing. And even that the ever busy schedules of good language teachers mean they are not always available. What a place we are in. I like that you take your mother to class - I am sure she loves the chance to just go and speak the language. My parents take my grandmother to language events all the time as she really enjoys the chance to listen, speak to, and help other with our sacred inwewin.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are getting well grounded in the vital tech functions for our course :) There is always a learning curve, so don't feel bad one bit! We will all get there :) :) This blog is a really nice start , and you were successful in adding your blog address in Moodle (that is how I found you).
Miigwech miinawaa gidinin :)
